Today is Good Friday.
Today is my last day at my job as a staffing recruiter.
Today marks T minus 11 days on my departure date countdown.
The excitement is building along with nerves. I keep thinking, “This is crazy!” right along with, “This is awesome!” You know, the common stuff we Christians go through when we step out of our comfort zone in faith.
It’s been a long time since I worked this hard for something. Even when I moved to California, I only had a month to prepare and it seemed like there was a lot less risk involved. That might have been because major changes seemed par for the course in my mid-twenties vs. my mid-thirties. Well, I’ve gotten pretty good at living a life that doesn’t necessarily follow people’s expectations.
I want to thank you for your continued prayers, encouragement and support. Christ is alive and active in our local church community. He is the head of the body and we are all members gifted in different ways. What an amazing mystery that never ceases to amaze me!
I’ll close with a benediction my dear friend Juan Morales spoke over me many years ago:
“I pray that Christ would continue to bless you, so you may continue to bless all those who cross your path.”
