The mission of the CARE Ministry is to provide support, care, and resources for healthy living to our church family. This is done through volunteers who Pursue God and Build Community. Our prayer is for a loving and healthy church that Unleashes Compassion on the World.
Home Communion: Each week volunteers visit shut-ins to serve them communion. Volunteers are scheduled once or twice quarterly.
Bereavement Follow-up: When a church member loses a family member, we find a volunteer to reach out to the grieving family, with visits and support material over a two year period. We want to care for and be there for them, to help them go through the grieving process successfully.
7th Friend Ministry: This ministry lets those who are ill or shut-in know that they are not forgotten; we seek to fill whatever need(s) they may have. Volunteers are needed for this ministry.
Healthy Library: Free brochures are available concerning various health issues, from cancer to stress. These are available on the display rack in the Solarium.
Blood Drive: Twice a year, we host a Red Cross blood drive, so we can“Give the gift of Life”. Each donation can save 3-6 lives

FoodHelp currently provides food assistance for 250-300 families a month, with an average family size of four. Due to the continuing need, families are limited to one visit per month. We do, however, make temporary arrangements with those facing severe circumstances and afford special provisions for guests who live on the streets.
There are many ways you can help. Whether you’re an individual or an organization, there’s a program tailored to the way you want to give. The great news is that your food or monetary donations are tax-deductible.

WorldWide Outreach is the team that oversees our missions efforts and support. We not only manage the missions budget, but support these efforts by seeking to connect our church body with each group or individual we support.
Our aim is to increase theawareness at DFCC of how God is working around the world through each of these, so that our church may become involved in God’s work throughout the world. Don’t miss the quarterly trips we’re taking to Rosarito to work with the children’s home there!

The purpose of the Campus Hospitality Ministry is to help members & guests feel the love of God by truly welcoming them into God’s house through friendly and authentic gracious service.
1 Peter 4:9-11 says we are to offer hospitality to one another, each of us is to use whatever gift we have received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
Our goal is to share a kind word, open a door, offer a handshake, lend a helping hand to people as they enter the church, and inform people as to what is available at church to meet their needs.
We have volunteers who serve as greeters on Sunday mornings at 9:40 am at the front door, the breezeway door, and inside the church. Greeters serve for one or two months during the year. They need to be willing to attend a “Greeters Meeting,” which would provide current information regarding church programs and what is expected of greeters. Volunteers should become knowledgeable about church activities, from High School to adults.

Our mission at DFCC Kids is to come alongside parents in the spiritual development and training of their children. We strive to create an environment where kids can actively learn what it means to have a relationship with God through age-appropriate, developmentally sound lessons that will engage their hearts, minds and hands.
Our passion is to help your children pursue God with all their hearts, build community with those around them, and grow to unleash compassion on the world. Our prayer is that your children will emerge from our lessons having seen the face of God, and leave forever changed.
Is God calling you to volunteer?
We have volunteer opportunities on Sunday morning in either Children’s Church or Sunday School and on Wednesday nights with our Faithweaver Friends program. Can’t commit on a regular basis? No problem! We also have ongoing special events. Whether your passion is to work with little ones or our elementary-aged kids, DFCC Kids has a place for you!
